    Hyderabad firm ties up with German major to make torpedoes for Indian Navy

    Hyderabad-based VEM Technologies has partnered with German firm ThyssenKrupp Marine Systems (TKMS) to produce approximately 500 torpedoes annually for the Indian Navy. This teaming agreement, which includes technology transfer under the Make-in-India initiative, will see heavyweight torpedoes manufactured in Hyderabad. The collaboration aims to strengthen India's naval capabilities and technological independence, with potential for a future joint venture.
