    'Immigration fraud is not...': USCIS makes an example out of Indian-origin Rambhai Patel, sentenced for visa fraud

    Rambhai Patel, an Indian-origin man, received a 20-month jail sentence for orchestrating a visa fraud scheme involving staged armed robberies. Patel and his co-conspirator, Balwinder Singh, fabricated robberies at stores and restaurants to enable employees to fraudulently claim U visas. Patel will forfeit $850,000 and face deportation to India after serving his sentence.
