Honda Unveils QC3 Electric Scooter With Claimed 145 km Range

Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India reveals the QC3 electric scooter, its third EV, with a 3 kWh battery, claimed 145 km range and a connected TFT display.

Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India has added a third battery-powered model to its range with the reveal of the QC3 electric scooter. The launch positions it alongside the Activa e: and the QC1 as the company's latest entry in the country's growing electric two-wheeler segment.

The QC3 draws power from a 3 kWh battery paired with a hub-mounted motor. Honda quotes a peak riding distance of 145 km from a single charge. Refilling the pack from empty to 80 percent takes two hours and 40 minutes, and a complete top-up needs roughly four hours. Within Honda's electric family, the model slots in above the QC1 on both distance covered and the kit it carries.

The company has not yet confirmed when the scooter will reach showrooms or how much it will cost. Both details are expected nearer to the market debut.

Design and features

Honda has given the QC3 a clean, current-day look built around daily commuting. The front panel carries the headlamp and indicators and adds LED daytime running lights. Riders get a flat floor and a single-piece seat stretching the length of the scooter.

Inside the cockpit, a TFT screen runs Honda RoadSync, bringing smartphone links and step-by-step navigation to the handlebar. Underneath, the scooter runs on alloy rims and uses telescopic forks up front, twin shock absorbers at the rear, and a disc brake on the front wheel.

Where it fits against the QC1 and Activa e:

Honda already sells the QC1 and the Activa e: in India, though availability remains limited to a handful of cities while the firm builds out its charging and service reach.

The entry QC1 relies on a fixed 1.5 kWh battery. It carries an IDC-certified figure of 80 km per charge and tops out at 50 kmph. The Activa e:, priced from Rs 1.20 lakh, takes a different route with two removable 1.5 kWh packs that together match the QC3's 3 kWh capacity. That setup returns a certified 102 km on the IDC cycle.

By claiming 145 km, the QC3 stretches beyond both existing models, giving Honda a longer-range option as it widens its electric footprint across the country.
