    Flightmare: Passenger’s device catches fire on American airlines flight; smoke fills cabin, plane diverted

    An American Airlines flight from Philadelphia to Phoenix had to land urgently. This happened because a passenger's electronic device caught fire mid-air. The flight landed safely at Washington Dulles International Airport. All passengers and crew were safe. The fire was quickly put out by the crew. Similar incidents involving devices catching fire on flights have increased recently.
