    CBI escorts fugitive Munawar Khan: Wanted in 2011 bank fraud case; brought back from Kuwait via INTERPOL

    Munawar Khan, a fugitive wanted by the Chennai CBI for a 2011 bank fraud case involving the Bank of Baroda, has been brought back to India from Kuwait through INTERPOL. He was arrested by Kuwait authorities following a Red Notice issued in February 2022 and extradited due to collaborative efforts between CBI, MEA, and NCB-Kuwait.
