    Ancient tombs unearthed in Iraq: Drought exposes hidden sites; '40 discovered so far'

    In northern Iraq, receding water levels in the Mosul Dam reservoir have revealed approximately 40 ancient tombs dating back over 2,300 years to the Hellenistic-Seleucid period. The discovery, made by an antiquities team in the Duhok province, occurred due to the country's severe drought conditions.
