    '25% attendance only': MTech student stabs IIIT professor in Andhra Pradesh after being denied exams

    Vinay Purushottam, an MTech student at IIIT-Nuzvid, stabbed Professor S.S.V. Gopala Raju, the examination coordinator, after being barred from practical exams due to low attendance. The incident occurred after Vinay's repeated requests to take the exam were denied because his attendance was below 25%. Police have arrested Vinay, and the professor is hospitalized in stable condition.
